10 years and outdoor fun

On June 26 Matt and I celebrated our 10 year wedding anniversary. We have never had a get away for our anniversary so this time I wanted a night away to ourselves. I wanted Matt to plan our getaway and surprise me. He did an awesome job. I thought that we were just going to stay that Friday night in Salt Lake but on Thursday I woke up and Matt was still in bed I thought that he has just slept in since 2 nights before we went to the midnight showing of transformers. So I woke him up thinking he was late and said surprise our anniversary starts today. We got up got ready and packed. I still had no idea what we were doing. (its really hard to pack when you don't know where your going). We got in the car and headed south. Finally when we were in Provo he told me we where headed to Cedar but that's all I knew. A little while later he told me we were going to drop the kids of at my parents house and head to St George. So we dropped them off and headed to St George.
We had such a relaxing weekend and it was great to spend time with just Matt. Thursday when we got there we at dinner at Paula's, did a little shopping and hung out at the hotel, we were going to go swimming but it was actually a little cold. Friday we tried to go swimming again but it was a little stormy so we vetoed that. We went to Olive Garden, played miniature golf and then he surprised me with tickets to Tuachan to see Annie. Saturday was a beautiful day but we decided to head back early to Cedar to hang out with my family.
The boys had a great time with my parents and we had a great time without them. Thanks so much mom and dad.

In June we have spent many many days outside. One day we went to a splash park in South Ogden that my boys LOVED.
Hung out at friends houses playing in the water
Riding bikes

Preschool Graduation

Yeah!!!! Preschool is over with. I was in charge of the graduation and I wanted something fast and easy. I was ready for preschool to be over with. So I made graduation hats for the boys and had them fill out some question about some of there favorite things and then draw a picture of what they wanted to be when they grew up. Most of them wanted to be policemen, one wanted to be batman and Trey wanted to be a Jedi.
Trey's favorite food -pizza, color -blue, toy- army guys and star wars and favorite movie was teenage mutan ninja turtles,

Book fair

In April Matt's aunt was helping at a book fair and asked us if we wanted to come because they where having some characters there. So we went and Trey and Ethan loved seeing the characters and getting there autographs. Matt's cousin was dressed up as Clifford. They had a bunch of others like Jack Sparrow, Winnie the Pooh, some princesses, and others but my camera died.

Temple and Air Show

My family came up to visit last weekend and we a great time. Saturday morning we went to the Oquirrh Mountain temple open house with my parents, my sister Trisha and her kids and my other sister Valerie and her family. (no family picture:(. )It was beautiful. And all the kids did great although my niece did want to go swimming. After that Valerie and her family left and the rest of us went to the Hill Air Force air show. It was amazing to see the planes flying that close, but I think that is a one time thing for me. To many people, to hot and to long in between the planes flying. The kids also got a little bored waiting for them to fly but was worth the wait when the Thunderbirds flew. They were amazing. After that my brother Mackay came up and we had a little pizza party. All the cousins had fun playing together

Memorial Weekend

Memorial Weekend we went to a cousins cabin, which was very nice since it rained the WHOLE time. So we were able to still have an enjoyable weekend and not be hiding out in a tent. Sunday it did stop raining for a little bit so Matt and Randy decided to head to the zip line. They took Ethan with them and he had a blast. In this cabin there was a little slide that was in one of the rooms in the loft that was on the wall. They kids had so much fun playing on it. We also played lots of games and just hung out and visited. It was a nice relaxing weekend.

2 fieldtrips in 2 weeks

Trey went on 2 field trips in 2 weeks. I think they were his favorite ones we went on all year for preschool. The first was to the Air Force Museum and then we went to the fire station.

At the air force museum they were able to look around at all the airplanes and then they were able to play in the play area where they were able to dress like pilots and get in a airplane and train to fly.

At the fire station they learned about fire safety and each one was able to put on a piece of fireman's gear. Then they took a tour of the fire station. Learned about stop, drop and roll and were even able to spray the water from the big fire hose.

We are having...

a little stinker. The baby would not cooperate for anything. My ultrasound was a hour and half long. It took 2 ultrasound techs to try and get anything. The baby would not let them get any good measurements on anything they tried. The baby was folded in half with the legs and arms covering the face. The one tech that had been doing this forever said the she never had to work so hard to get the baby to cooperate. They were able to finally get the measurement they needed but they weren't perfect so I might have to go back and get another ultrasound but the tech said what she could tell was that everything looked OK and that she would bet on it being a Girl. The Dr did do an ultrasound a couple of weeks ago and said that it looks like a girl but not to make any big purchases. So for now we are planning on it being a girl but I guess we will wait and see. Hopefully I will get another ultrasound whether or not its through the Dr or the actual ultrasound. So no big purchases for now. Not until we get closer to having the baby so in case it is a boy we can take things back:(
