Poison Control

Hello poison control, my little boy just drank some hand sanitizer. How much? About half a bottle maybe less. he has some on his shirt. The bottle is 2.5 oz. Usually we don't worry unless it is over 8oz. He should be o.k. just what him for symptoms of intoxication.
Yeap that was part of my conversation tonight. I was in the office when Ethan brought me in the bottle of hand sanitizer, with a yucky look on his face. It didn't take me long when I realized what he did. So I hurry and called poison control. My heart was pounding at the thought of what could happen. After all that stuff is full of alcohol. Lucky nothing happened. I just had to watch him. The rest of the night wasn't much better. He was being a terror. He found some Hershey kisses and put the whole thing in his mouth wrapper and all. Now I have chocolate stains all over my carpet. Then he kept pulling things off the shelfs. Him and I were on the couch eating popcorn he leans over and for no reason bites me. He then goes and turns the computer off on Trey and then to top it off he pulled a chair on him. Good thing he is a dang cute kid.

The last leaf has fallen

The last leaf has finally fallen. How I remember those words that he spoke at conference. Matt called me at 6:15 this morning on his way to work to tell me. Those words were the first to pop in my head. The wind was blowing so hard out side my window and this morning and my reply to Matt was the last leaf has fallen and the wind is blowing hard literally. This man with such great humor I will forever love him and all he did for this church. Today I can't stop from being teary eyed every time I think of him. He truly will be missed but I know that we will be blessed with another great prophet. At this sad time I am also so happy that he is again with his beloved wife whom he loved so much. He will also be with all those who went before him. What a wonderful reunion that would be. I am so thankful for his wonderful spirit he brought and all his hard work

What will he think of next

Trey went to the bathroom and instead of washing his hands in the sink he decided to wash them in a bucket. He had to bring the bucket of water into the front room. After he washed his hands I took the bucket back into the bathroom and just sat it on the sink. Next thing I know Trey was naked and taking a bath in the bucket. I asked him why he was taking a bath and he said "I'm stinky, I drank milk and it made me stinky."

Sugar addict

Ethan is a sugar addict. He loves sweets. We have to hide the candy from him because if he sees it he wants it and will throw a fit until he gets it. His favorite is suckers, as you can see in the picture. But is happy with any candy. The top picture we had a box of donuts and Trey got them down to have one but didn't put them away so Ethan helped himself

my big helpers

My 2 boys are such wonderful helpers. Every time I vacuum Ethan is right there with his little vacuum. Well yesterday we went to Target and Trey found some little army guys that he really wanted. Actually he has been looking at them forever. I guess Santa forgot to get him some. So we told him he can start earning money and then when he gets enough he can buy them. (They are like $14) So today first thing he tells me is that he wants to clean up his toys in the front room. After he did that he was ready to go to the store. I had to explain that he would have to do a little more work to earn enough money to buy his toys. So later today I was cleaning the bathroom and he had to help and so did Ethan. Trey spent almost 10 minutes scrubbing the bathtub. Then he had to use his toy broom to wash the toilet. He made a big mess with the water but he did a great first time. It is so much easier to do it yourself but I guess they have to learn sometime. He really did a good job and Ethan did a great job vacuuming

My Sunbeam

I can't believe it Trey is now a sunbeam. I can't believe how big he is. I remember when I found out I was pregnant with him. He was a little nervous but did really good. He warmed right up, but if you know Trey he will talk to anyone so it didn't take long. The poor teacher probably was tired of him at the end of class because he can talk your ear off mostly about his birthday party. (which isn't until Aug). He has his birthday all planned out. He has been talking about it since his last birthday.

A boy and his dog

Ethan loves his dog. Every time he can hear her coming he says Abba (Abby). During this winter Abby gets the pleasure of sleeping in side. Ethan loves going and laying on her bed. When Matt feeds her at night Ethan is right there wanting some of her food. He has even sampled it a couple of times. When Abby is not in the house Ethan is watching her from the sliding glass door. I can't wait for spring when we can go outside and they can run around and chase each other.

3 armed snowman

How sad, this was Treyson's first snowman ever. We have spent a lot of time outside but just never had time or enough snow to build a worth while snowman. So this year Matt build one with Trey. Matt did most of the work of coarse, but Trey had fun in the snow. The snowman had 3 arms, and the eyes and nose made out of wood chips. The snowman didn't stay cute for long and big snow storm came that night and covered it. Sorry again don't know how to get the picture to rotate

Christmas and New Years

Time sure flies. I can't believe its been just under a month since I blogged. Life is busy. I thought that it would slow down after Christmas but of coarse not. Christmas time was fun. Every year my Grandma puts together a huge Christmas village so we went and saw that. Then Matt's aunt and uncle have an in with Santa Clause and he came to visit their house early. Notice the picture of Ethan sleeping, thats the only way we could get him to sit on Santa's lap. Christmas Eve our plans got ruined with the snow so last minute we went to Kinikini's for some yummy Chinese and pizza and a movie. Christmas day we woke up about 8:30 opened presents. The theme of Treys Christmas was army guys and transformers. Ethan's theme was noisy toys. We don't try to have a theme but this year it just happened. The boys love their toys. Grandma and Grandpa Bates came to see what they got. Then we headed to Salt Lake to go open presents at G&G Bates house. Visited with Great Grandma Bates and Jay and then head over to Teran's for the big Marchant party. New Years was a blast. HA HA Matt had to work until about 8:30 then we went to McDonald's for dinner and watched Mary Poppins. Trey even stayed up until after midnight. We went to bed and about 3 in the morning Trey came in to our room and threw up all over me and our bed. Then Ethan wakes up with a fever. While I was taking care of Ethan, Matt was cleaning up Trey and the mess. He gets Trey in bed and he threw up again. Finally we were able to get some sleep around 4:30-5:00. Ethan ended up with a double ear infection and now has hives from the antibiotic. I was hoping for a better year but thinks aren't looking so up. Lets just hope that it is all over with now.
