Self Reliant

Monday Ethan and I were both sick. So around 10:30 am we laid down for a nap. I knew Trey could entertain himself for a little while so we could rest. When I woke up I found that Trey had made him a sandwich all by himself. He made him a cheese sandwich with no cheese. so basically it was 2 pieces of bread with miracle whip on it. Gross I know but we were out of cheese or I am sure he would have tried to cut him some cheese himself. He also got himself a sippy cup of water and he was good to go. I am thankful that he is self reliant but it is a little scary to see how fast he is growing up and not needing me as much. It is nice but a little sad.

Happy Birthday Trey

Yesterday was my little boys birthday and we celebrated all weekend long. Saturday we had a cousin swim/birthday party. We then came home and opened presents for Lizzy and Trey. Sunday we went for a drive and had a picnic in the back of the truck up by snow bird lodge. Then Grandma, Grandpa, Uncle Phil, Uncle Ron, Aunt Marcelle and LeStar came up and had a BBQ with us. Trey got money, clothes, toys and a scooter. Matt made a transformer cake that Trey wanted. Trey told Matt that he wanted Blackout with army guys shooting it and it blackout blowing up. I had to tell Trey that it was a birthday cake so we couldn't have blackout blow up that it was suppose to be a happy cake. I'm not quite sure we got a "happy" cake but he did get his army guys and blackout on it.

I'm a soccer mom

Trey had his first night of soccer. Trey and his friend Bryant are in a soccer clinic that teaches them the basics of soccer. They go every Thursday for 45 min a night for 6 weeks. It was so funny to watch. My social boy would not stop talking. He had to be right by the coach and even tried to hold his hand. He did good with the actual kicking of the part we just need to work on when to listen and when to talk part. My camera ran out of batteries so I will take more pictures during these next few weeks. During part of it they tried to score and had the kids each take a turn being a bear (goalie). Trey did really good at that part also.

Going for a walk

Yesterday Trey woke up and came into my room with a "kid lease" and wants me to take him for a walk. I told him after we got ready we would, but we kind of forgot so last night I put the lease on Trey and Ethan wanted to take him for a walk so they walked around the house and then went for a little walk to the neighbors house outside. They would have gone longer but Trey went a little to fast and Ethan fell.

Loving baby

Ethan love his baby cousin Kyler. Every time I hold him Ethan is right there wanting to hold him and help feed him. He will try and give him his binky and just loves looking at him. He is 100% Not jealous of this baby which I thought he would be because he loves to have all of the attention. But with Kyler, Ethan just wants to be around and help with him.

Not fun!!!!

For the last 2 1/2 weeks we have been dealing with something like hand foot and mouth. They didn't get rashes on there hands or feet but has sores in their mouths. 2 1/2 weeks ago Ethan woke up from a nap with a slight fever. By that night he had a fever of around 102. The next day woke up with a fever about the same and wouldn't eat. He would put his hands in his mouth and say ow. When Matt got home we held him down and looked in his mouth. In his throat he had sores all over that looked like cankers. So we took him to the Dr and they told me he had coxsackievirus which is the over all virus that causes a whole bunch of different things. The treatment for this was let it run its coarse. The next day he wakes up with sores in his mouth and on the outside of his mouth and still a fever. His gums got really sore and would bleed like crazy if you barely touched them. He had a fever for a couple of days and still has sores on the outside of his mouth that are now almost healed, His gums still slightly bleed when we brush them. Overall I think Ethan did pretty good considering the sore mouth. I had 1 canker and thought I was going to die. Not really but it hurt like crazy, so I can't imagine what a hole mouth full would feel like. Then last week Trey came down with the same thing. While Ethan was sick Trey kept drinking out of Ethans sippy cup. We would tell him all the time not to but I think that just made him want to do it more. I think Trey had a harder time then Ethan. He had a fever for 5 days that was between 101 and 103. Those fevers really did it to him. We would give him medicine and he would be fine for a while but you could always tell when the fever was kicking up because he wuold look like death warmed over. He would sit on the couch with glassy eyes and bearly move. Then he would take a nap and Trey doesn't take naps. He got horrible sores on his tounge and the corners of his lips. His gums also were sore to and bleed as soon as you touched him. This poor boy has lost 3 pounds because he can't eat (good thing he is such a solid kid that it didn't really hurt him to loose that much)You can tell to. Today is the first time that he is even really eating without a problem and its only a cupcake. He would cry because he wanted food and everytime he tried to eat it his mouth would bleed and he would cry. Milk and ice cream were the only things that he would eat.
