Christmas 2008

Christmas this year was good. Christmas eve it was just our family. We made fajitas and played "pirates life"(the game of life-pirates). We opened our night presents which was pj's then Trey wrote a note for Santa telling him we had cookies for him.

Santa- Here are some cookies for you. Trey Ethan. I told him how to spell it and he wrote it himself. New jammies
Christmas Morning

Matt's family party-Christmas night

Every year all of the aunts, uncles and cousins draw names and give presents. This year Matt's cousin with the help of his mom(Matt's aunt who rigid it) came up with this present. First he opened a CD and had to play it. The name of the song was "I want my mullet back." Then he opened this wonderful present which was a picture of him when he was younger with a mullet. Then he opened the movie "I am legend where she added a A so it read "I am A legend" We had a great day. Coming home that night was horrible. It snowed so much. The roads were covered. The ride home took twice as long as normal. Luckily for us we were able to take Legacy home and there was nobody on it.

Ethans Birthday

My baby turned 2 on the 12th of this month. I can't believe he is getting so grown up. We went to Chuck E Cheese but it was crazy because it was on a Friday night. That Sunday we had family come up for a little party. Don't you love the shorts in the middle of winter. He had to wear them

Ethan at 2 is full of energy but no one sees his full personality because he is so shy when people are around. It takes him forever to warm up. He loves his Wally and has to bring him everywhre He HATES nursery, he can count to 10 without missing a number. Starting to say his abc's. He can TALK and will talk your ear off and most of the time you understand what he is saying. He is so lovable but so independent. He loves to be mean to Trey and thinks its funny to make him cry. His favorite words are "back up and get out".
Ethan I love you.

More California

We spent 5 days at Disneyland and had a great time. The first rides we went on were the big Mark Twain boat and then Pirates and Haunted Mansion. The boys weren't to sure after that. They didn't want to do anything else but then we went on the train and they started to warm up to the idea of the rides again. We never made it back on the haunted mansion but we would ride Pirates whenever we wanted Ethan to take a nap because he would close his eyes and then fall asleep. We made Trey ride every ride that he was tall enough to ride. He did not like Tower of Terror so he only rode that once. We were able to convince him to ride the others again that he wasn't so sure of like space mountain and the Matterhorn. He loved Splash mountain and rode that at least 5 or 6 times until he got drenched then he didn't want to go again. His all time favorite ride was Buzz and Toy Story Mania. Ethan's favorite ride was the Jungle tour and Toy Story Mania. He would cry every time we would get off the ride and throw the biggest fit. People were probably thinking that the ride scared him but he just wanted more. Ethan got sick the last day so I had to take him back to the hotel which I was really sad, but after a 3 hour nap he woke up feeling better so we were able to go back for the Christmas parade and fireworks.

California Vacation

Waiting for the our flight
Touching the Star fish
Feeding the Stingrays
Shamu

What a great time. The weather was great. It did get a little cold at times but overall perfect. The first day of our trip was the Saturday after Thanksgiving. We flew in to San Diego and went to Sea World. It was crowded because it was the first day of there holiday shows but we still did almost everything but the rides and we didn't want to go on them. Of coarse the highlight of Sea World was Shamu which Ethan still talks about all day long even two weeks later. He has now named the shark toys we have Shamu. (I got a shark ornament at a party and he has now taken it over and carries it everywhere.) We also touched the Star fishes and we even got to feed some stingrays. That was one of my favorite parts.

Jedi Trainging

Trey was picked to be in the Jedi training. He was so excited. He did a really good job listening and following along. They showed them how to fight and then they got to practice their fight moves on Darth Mal or Darth Vader. It was looking like Trey was going to have to fight Darth Mal which would have been ok but we really wanted him to fight Darth Vader. Some how he worked his way into the right spot to fight Darth Vader. It was so fun to watch him fight him. He did a great job but wanted to keep fighting him even when his turn was over. His favorite part was when Darth Vader steps back flips his robe and then leans to him and says "I've been waiting for you".

Twilight

I have had a ton of people if I liked the twilight movie. So here is my answer. Yes I loved it. No it was not as good as the book but no movie ever is. I have actually seen it twice and can't wait to go again. Yes there were so not so great parts, cheesy parts and many GREAT parts. I loved Charley and Esme. I thought Emmet was very good looking and my favorite part was the when Edward took Bella to school and he had sun glasses on with a big grin on his face. I then fell in love with Edward. He looks so much better when he is smiling. I will defiantly be buying this movie as soon as it is available

Date with Trey

Last night Trey and I went on a date with some of our friends. We went to Disney on ice. This was the first time we have been and I have to say it was amazing. It makes me so excited for Disneyland. They did an excellent job. Trey's favorite part of coarse were the army guys from toy story. His friend Bryant got so excited when he saw the army guys also. He wanted to make sure that Trey saw them. I am so glad to have gone. It was a great night and it was nice to spend some time with just Trey

The Force is with us

Halloween was a great day except dad had to work:( I took the kids to the mall trick or treating with some friends and their families. It was fine except I didn't bring a stroller with us and after an 1/2 hour of more of carrying Ethan around I was DONE. After that we went to the church trunk or treating. I wasn't so excited about going to the church but it was fun and it was a whole lot easier going there then taking the kids house to house and getting Ethan in and out of the stroller for every house. This way I was able to keep him in the stroller and go right up the the cars. Actually I didn't have to even push him around much Ethan future wife:) Chloe did all the pushing. The boys got a ton of candy and they could have actually cared less. I think I was pushing Trey to go get candy when he could have cared less, I don't think he really realized that he was getting a ton of candy. Today he only had one piece of candy that he found on the counter and was good. I know if he finds his bag and realizes all the candy it will be a different story.

This is the costume Ethan wanted to wear for Halloween. He brought me the blanket and wanted me to wrap it around him and he called it his costume.
I am surprised that he got him to wear his real one because he would never try it on. He only wanted to wear the ears.
